Remember me

This video was part of my graduation exhibition at Forsbergs Skola on May 21–22

Created from sensory improvisation, using old projectors I found in the school basement: overhead projectors, slide projectors and transparencies that had been unused for many years. That forgotten technology became the perfect medium to speak about memory and permanence. It was a huge pleasure to handle those dream machines, to have them at my disposal to play and experiment with the projected images. I turned my home into an improvised studio where I could project images onto the only empty wall I had after just moving in.

For the first time I could literally step inside my own work. I could walk through the projections, feel the images pass through me, and become part of the movement. It was something I had dreamed of doing my whole life.

The music for the video was created, as always, by my brother, the talented Martín Amado and his band Mistol Team, featuring Eli Nadra on vocals, multiple-time nominees for Best Electronic Music Group in Argentina. The song: “Venus.”

Remember me is an immersive experience and a personal revolution: a conscious decision to keep creating through perception, intuition, body and emotion.
